Singer - Poet - Songwriter
Aisha is an up and coming singer, songwriter and poet from Vancouver. She has a Nigerian heritage, was born in Philadelphia and raised in Vancouver. Her genres include twists of R&B, Soul, Blues & Jazz and more. Her sound can not be easily pinned down as she expresses herself in different genres, but always with smooth melodies.
She has been singing and writing music since she was 9 years old. Her idols include Jennifer Hudson and Aretha Franklin who inspire her to emulate their strong vocal abilities. You’ll find Aisha singing at open mics or karaoke bars in her spare time.
Aisha has performed at events from UBC Pride to singing at Sarah McLauchlan’s House for a fundraiser. She has also sung her original music at Queen Elizabeth Theatre!
Stay tuned on Instagram for more upcoming shows. She has also just released her first EP called “Know My Name” on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play, Tidal & Deezer.
